This document is the London Borough of Tower Hamlets’ Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) on ‘Reuse, Recycling and Waste’ (RRW). The SPD was adopted by the council on 28th July 2020. The SPD sets out information for developers on how waste management should be addressed in proposals for new residential (including mixed use) development.1 The SPD has been produced to help developers submit a planning application that meets the policy requirements of the council. The principles in the SPD may also be applied to wholly commercial development and when existing development is refurbished.
