World Workplace APAC ’22 Focuses on Resilience and Reinvention for the Future-ready FM

Jul 12, 2022

Conference content will equip FM professionals to prepare their organizations for future disruptions and adapt quickly to change

World Workplace Asia-Pacific (APAC) 2022 will be held 26 July to 27 July at the Marina Bay Sands, Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Orchid Ball Room in Singapore and will feature an extensive educational program centered around the theme “Resilience and Reinvention for the Future-ready FM.” Sessions, industry expert panels and keynote speakers will address regional trends in corporate real estate and facility management, as well as areas of rising and immediate importance to organizations globally, such as carbon reduction and human-centric workplace strategies.

Produced by IFMA and hosted by its Singapore Chapter, the conference will equip FM professionals for their expanding role in creating and sustaining post-pandemic, future-ready organizations – those that are better prepared for future disruptions by focusing on continuous improvement, embracing new technologies, and adapting quickly and strategically to change.

Guests of Honour Mr. Heng Swee Keat, Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies, and Mr. Tan Kiat How, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Communications & Information and Ministry of National Development, will attend the Opening Ceremony on day one, and day two’s Best FM Awards Reception and Banquet, respectively.

“Over the years, IFMA’s Singapore Chapter has formed strong alliances with numerous industry players – including service buyers and providers, training and tech solution providers, the government and like-minded associations – creating a hub of knowledge, perspectives and ideas across different sectors, and positioning Singapore as a center of excellence for FM in the region. The newly rebranded World Workplace APAC conference reflects Singapore’s growth as a leading market for facility management,” said Chapter President Frank Ngoh, CFM, FMP. “This year’s event theme, ‘Resilience and Reinvention for the Future-ready FM,’ covers topics such as new technologies, business models and sustainable practices that are already defining the adaptive, resilient and innovative future workplace.”

World Workplace APAC will be presented in a hybrid format. Many of the in-person sessions and activities, including a series of industry expert panel discussions, two prominent keynote speakers and a Shark Tank Challenge, will be available to virtual registrants via livestream and on-demand. Online attendees can take advantage of two exclusive activities: Q&A with opening keynote speaker Mr. Yeo Choon Chong, Chief Executive Officer, ASEAN, Surbana Jurong Group, and a virtual facility tour, both on 26 July.

The conference closes on 27 July, with two exciting events for on-site attendees: The Ultimate FM Gameshow – teams compete for prizes by answering trivia questions – and the Best FM Awards Reception and Banquet, honoring those at the forefront of positive contributions to the knowledge, practical application and communication of strategies to improve sustainable performance within facility management.
