New IFMA EMEA Board of Directors Takes Office, focuses on Facility Management Expansion in Europe, Middle East and Africa

IFMA EMEA, the regional organization for Europe, Middle East and Africa of the global International Facility Management Association (IFMA), has carried out its annual governance renewal as the new members of its Board of Directors have taken office today.

- Peter Prischl, Principal Consultant & Managing Director, afondo GmbH (Austria), begins his one-year term as Board Chair.
- Dr. Hayan Sayed, Independent Board Director & Chairman of the Executive Committee, SRACO (UAE), is Vice Chair.
- Njom Jared, Associate Director for Real Estate, Facilities Management & General Administration, Equity Bank Limited (Kenya), is Second Vice Chair.

The following new board members will serve three-year terms:

- Mohamed Saadeh, General Manager, Darwish Interserve Facility Management (Qatar)
- Habinuchi Owhondah, Country Manager, CBRE Excellerate (Nigeria)
- Astrid Keibel, Head of FM, Security & Sustainability, Nokia (Germany)
- Talal Rajab, Chief Commercial Officer, SRG (Saudi Arabia)
- Carmen Castellano, Strategic Account Executive, Quantum Metric (Spain).

“Our new Board of Directors, with new and continuing members, represents the people and practice of Facility Management in the huge and diverse region of Europe, Middle East and Africa. We pledge to focus on bringing FM awareness as well as FM competencies, networks and career opportunities to even more people”, said IFMA EMEA Chair Peter Prischl.

Managing Director Lara Paemen, IFMA President & CEO Michael V. Geary, CAE, and Past Chair Erik Jaspers, IFMA Fellow (Netherlands) will remain on the Board.
