SOUTHEASTERN MICHIGAN CHAPTER OF IFMA HOSTS TOUR OF DETROIT’S ‘NEW’ WESTIN BOOK CADILLAC HOTEL

BRIGHTON, MI – (Nov. 5, 2008)  The public is invited to join the members and guests of the Southeastern Michigan Chapter of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) on Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, for a presentation and tour of the completely renovated Westin Book Cadillac Hotel.

After two years of extensive renovation, the Westin Book Cadillac has been restored to its former glory as the premier hotel in the City of Detroit. From the impressive new lobby to the ballrooms and the luxury suites, every effort was made to capture the elegance and grandeur of the original Book Cadillac. You now have the opportunity to tour Detroit’s newest gem with the building and facility managers of IFMA.

Registration, networking and hors d’oeuvres are at 4:30 p.m. in the third floor Founders Room. Tours will follow a 6 p.m. presentation by Scott Stinebaugh, director of sales and marketing. Tickets are $35 for members and $50 for non-members and may be purchased at the event or by phone at 810-229-8973.  Please RSVP by Nov. 17 at noon.

“We are delighted to be one of the first professional groups to tour this magnificent, newly renovated facility,” said Jason Wells, president of the Southeastern Michigan Chapter of IFMA. “This presentation and tour allows us to share what we have learned with the community at large.”

IFMA is an international, not-for-profit association dedicated to promoting excellence in facilities management. Incorporated in 1980, IFMA provides educational programs which assist in developing strategies for managing human, facility and real estate resources.
