SOUTHEASTERN MICHIGAN CHAPTER OF IFMA HOSTS ALTERNATIVE ENERGY DISCUSSION AND TOUR OF NEXT ENERGY
Brighton, MI – April 16, 2008 – How can alternative energy technologies help you achieve the energy saving goals of earth day? The Southeastern Michigan Chapter of the International Facility Management Association plans to address this challenge at a program and tour at Next Energy on April 22, 2008.
Next Energy is a non-profit corporation founded in 2002 to advance the alternative energy technology industry in Michigan. Next Energy is dedicated to promoting responsible growth of the crucial alternative energy industry while positioning Michigan as the nation’s focal point for emerging energy technologies and business investment in this rapidly expanding business segment.
Next Energy is a 45,000 square foot business acceleration facility located in Tech Town, Detroit’s high-tech village. It is outfitted to manage a full complement of alternative energy initiatives including research and develpment, demonstrations and educational programs.
The program will include a tour of the Power Panel laboratory and a brief presentation by company president, Garth Schultz. Power Panel, a maker of solar energy products, is one of the companies hosted by Next Energy.
The public is invited to attend the meeting, which will be held at Next Energy, 461 Burroughs, between Cass and Second Ave. in Detroit. Registration, networking and refreshments are at 4 p.m. followed by a 5 p.m. presentation and tour. Tickets are $25 for IFMA members and $35 for non-members.

IFMA is an international, not-for-profit association dedicated to promoting excellence in facility management.
