C.H. Briggs Company Named Mid-Atlantic Distributor of CeeLite Technology C.H. Briggs Company Named Mid-Atlantic Distributor of CeeLite Technology

One of the largest independently owned distributors of specialty building products in the country, C.H. Briggs Company, has been named the exclusive distributor of CeeLite® LEC Technology for solid surface applications within all of Briggs distribution territories. The agreement features applications that include DuPont ™ Corian® and Corian Illuminated Surfaces and the award-winning CeeLite LEC technology to bring an entirely new arena of innovative product applications in lighting and design for both residential and commercial interior spaces.  C.H. Briggs serves seven states in the Mid-Atlantic footprint as well as Ohio, Michigan and North Carolina.

"C.H. Briggs is delighted to partner with an innovator like CeeLite," said Julia H. Klein, CEO of C.H. Briggs Company. "Bringing together CeeLite's unique products—which allow more intriguing and compelling design possibilities for both residential and commercial design—and C.H. Briggs' distribution network within the architecture and design, kitchen/bath and specialty retail communities, creates a powerful combination that presents very exciting opportunities for our customers' designs and end-use applications."

"This type of product partnership further illustrates the wide variety of fascinating architectural applications for CeeLite products," said John Rooney, president of CeeLite. "We have seen some very unusual applications from flooring, staircases and accent lighting in various design situations, and our agreement with C.H. Briggs Company will carry CeeLite into the architectural mainstream for both residential and commercial applications. It is a very exciting opportunity for both companies."

The two companies will work together to develop new standard sizes for LEC panels that match standard Corian Illumination specs for residential and commercial applications for kitchens, bathrooms and walls. CeeLite LEC panels, an extremely thin (approximately 1 millimeter), uniform, durable and low energy light source, can be made in a wide variety of sizes and will be used to create magnificent environments by flawlessly backlighting the solid surface applications with minimal construction requirements. With the Corian ® Illumination series for example, designers will experience remarkable shifts in the appearance of the surface when the smooth, pastel look of Corian dramatically disappears and is replaced with a beautiful aesthetic under glow with the mere flick of a switch, creating a myriad of exciting design options and opportunities.

Applications were displayed to much acclaim April 22 in New York at LightCongress, the leading lighting and architectural lighting media symposium in North America.  Products are anticipated to be available in early summer of this year.  For more information, visit www.ceelite.com and www.chbriggs.com.

About CeeLite

Headquartered in Blue Bell, PA, CeeLite is an innovator in researching, developing and commercializing Light Emitting Capacitor (LEC) technology. CeeLite LEC panels are thin (approximately one millimeter), flexible and lightweight light sources that may be used on flat or curved surfaces to illuminate the surface itself and to provide illuminated advertising, signs and architectural surfaces. LEC technology is distinct from existing lighting sources and is considered to be a separate category of products from anything currently available in the lighting industry. CeeLite LEC technology is an award-winning platform technology that can be easily configured to work with existing technologies, therefore enabling its delivery and use in a large number of end-use products. The platform LEC technology was named as one of the "Best Inventions 2006" by Time Magazine, one of the "Products of the Year 2007" by Electronic Products Magazine, "Editors Choice Top 100 Products 2007" in Buildings Magazine and the "Green Company Executive Award 2008" by Emerald Asset Management.
