Natick Mall Names Frank T. Lazorchak New General Manager

Shopping center veteran with local ties to manage Mall during redevelopment, expansion

Natick Mall and its parent company, General Growth Properties, Inc. has announced the appointment of Frank T. Lazorchak to the position of General Manager of Natick Mall. In his new post, Lazorchak will be responsible for the overall management of the center, including overseeing all operational requirements associated with the expansion of the project. Lazorchak not only brings 30 years of experience handling similar large-scale, multi-use development projects in the shopping center industry, but also a thorough knowledge of the area, having previously resided in Natick for over nine years.

Lazorchak comes to General Growth from LeFrak/Simon Property Group's Newport Center in New Jersey, where he spent seven years spearheading the renovation, development and management of this $10-billion property which integrated retail, residential, office, leisure, dining and hotel facilities.  Prior to this, he was involved in the planning, development and management of major mixed use projects in Singapore and throughout Asia Pacific.

Lazorchak spent nine years as Regional Vice President and General Manager of Boston's Copley Place during its initial development and post-opening periods. Prior to this, he worked for the Rouse Company, in both corporate development and management functions, with an emphasis on opening high profile properties in major downtown areas as well as expansions and renovations of mixed-use, regional mall and marketplace properties.

The Natick Mall renovation and expansion plans include the addition of 550,000 square feet of luxury retail space anchored by the state's first Nordstrom and second Neiman Marcus. The expanded mall, on land north of the existing mall, will also feature 215 luxury condominiums directly attached to the property, making Natick the first multi-use environment of its kind in the nation.
