PANASONIC LAUNCHES "P-TECH" SECURITY TRAINING UNIVERSITY FOR VIDEO SURVEILLANCE PROFESSIONALS

Panasonic Security Systems, a division of Panasonic System Solutions Company (PSSA), has announced the launch of its training and continuing education program for security and surveillance professionals. The Panasonic Security Training University, or “P-Tech”, will be based from the company’s headquarters in Secaucus, NJ with satellite campuses located across the country. Classes are scheduled to commence on May 31, 2005.

“As previously unrelated technologies continue to converge and the demand for more advanced integrated and networked enterprise level systems evolve, it is imperative that manufacturers take a proactive role in educating industry professionals on how to best implement these new technologies,” said Julianna Benedick, Director of Marketing, Panasonic System Solutions Company. “Panasonic is taking an aggressive approach to continuing education with the launch of P-Tech. This new education and training program will cover a wide range of topics and application levels to provide our sales partners and customers with the latest information on new systems products and technologies.”

P-Tech will provide training on various levels of systems integration and product implementation. Initial sessions will cover an introduction to video surveillance, industry trends and hot topics, and detailed overviews on Panasonic systems products. In addition to classroom-based training at campuses across the country, P-Tech will also offer web-based training.
