Become a Facility Fusion Moderator

Are you attending Facility Fusion but have not signed up to moderate a session? Well, what are you waiting for? Moderating a session is a great way to get involved and brush up on those public speaking skills. Basically, the Moderator is the person who welcomes attendees into each education session, introduces the speaker, explains CEUs and kicks the session off. 

Does it still sound daunting? Well, we provide you with step-by-step instruments and a Moderator session packet that will include everything you need to know. 

The Moderator session packet includes:

  • Moderator responsibilities outlined below;
  • Session flow/house announcements;
  • Speaker introduction information;
  • Time cards; and
  • The Moderator evaluation form.

Steps for moderating:

Step 1: Pick up the Moderator packet from the Speaker Ready Room (#333) at least 30 minutes prior to the session scheduled start time.

Step 2: Arrive at the session at least 20 minutes prior. Meet and greet speaker(s), attendees and assist speaker(s) as needed.

Step 3: Introduce the session and speakers. Please take no more than 2 minutes to open the session, read the house announcements and intro the speaker.

Step 4: Give the speaker 10, 5 and 1 minute cues till end.

Step 5: Close the session, remind attendees to visit the registration kiosks to complete the session evaluations as well as take the assessments to gain CEUs.

Step 6: Complete the moderator evaluation and return it to the Speaker Ready Room #333
