What's New at IFMA

IFMA is the world’s largest and most widely recognized international association for facility management professionals, supporting 24,000 members in 104 countries. This diverse membership participates in focused component groups equipped to address their unique situations by region (133 chapters), industry (15 councils) and areas of interest (six communities). Together they manage more than 78 billion square feet of property and annually purchase more than US$526 billion in products and services.

Formed in 1980, IFMA certifies professionals in facility management, conducts research, provides educational programs, content and resources, and produces World Workplace, the world’s largest series of facility management conferences and expositions.     Four longstanding members and four employees of IFMA were honored for contributions to the association and the FM community with Chair Citations issued by 2016-17 IFMA Chair Maureen Ehrenberg, FRICS, CRE. Individual citations were presented to: James E. Loesch, P.E., CFM, IFMA Fellow, Nancy J. Sanquist, IFMA Fellow, Steve Lockwood, CFM, IFMA Fellow, and Rick Corea; with two joint citations presented to Cathy Pavick and Brenda Varner, RCFM; and Andrea Sanchez and Geoff Williams, FMP.

    IFMA has named four new IFMA Fellows: Peter Ankerstjerne, MBA, FRICS, COP, IFMA Fellow of ISS World Services A/S, Søborg, Denmark; Stephen Ola Jagun, CFM, FRICS, FNIVS, IFMA Fellow of Jagun Associates, Lagos, Nigeria; Jon Seller, IFMA Fellow of Optegy Limited, Hong Kong; and David (Dave) Wilson, CFM, IFMA Fellow of Effective Facilities Limited and Morphose Limited, Canterbury, United Kingdom. Being named an IFMA Fellow is the highest honor the association bestows upon members.
