IFMA's Certified Facility Manager (CFM) program promotes
professional excellence, establishes global standards
for professional practice, promotes the added value
of the profession and helps to influence the future
direction of facility operations worldwide.
A springboard for obtaining certification, the Facility
Management Professional (FMP) program can be completed
in about 12 months, and FMP candidates may customize
and integrate their training to build the specific knowledge
they need to meet individual goals.

and knowledge in all FM-related areas
IFMA promotes and facilitates an FM “Career Path.”
By pursuing the educational curriculum necessary to
obtaining the FMP designation, FMs from beginner to
expert can acquire fundamental knowledge in all of the

their knowledge and professional networks, ultimately
leading to having the hands-on experience to successfully
completing the CFM Exam and joining the elite circle
of Certified Facility Managers.
