TORONTO (June 13, 2016) – Keilhauer is excited to introduce a new collection, Hangout, designed to support collaboration within today’s diverse workplace. The six-piece collection provides multifaceted solutions that not only benefit the individuals within a team but multiple teams at a time. Possible configurations are able to accommodate break-out meetings, informal lounging, private one-on-one sessions, or even offer an individual user with personal alone-time.

Men and women; introverts and extroverts; a hundred different backgrounds and cultures; Boomers, Generation Y, Millennials and Generation Z hot on their heels, workplaces have never seen such diverse talent, and workplace culture has never needed to be so flexible. “While you can’t please everyone all the time, you can empower them to pursue it individually and ensure their environment supports their needs,” says Mike Keilhauer, President of Keilhauer. “Hangout creates a space that supports collaboration while respecting the individual. It incorporates the full team, but provides options for increased privacy or exposure as needed.”

“The first step in collaboration is to encourage a connection between two people, and there is no better way to foster connection than with a private, face-to-face interaction,” says Jackie Maze, Keilhauer Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “You need to Visit in person. It’s the heart of collaboration and the heart of this collection.”

Visit upholstered benches and sofas stand on ash wood legs and come with the option of high, low or no back. The sofas’ soft aesthetic and calming presence ideally suits one-on-one conversations. Visit benches can be joined for the perfect expression of freedom meets connectivity. Configurations can span 360 degrees and, leveraging connectors, Plunk ottomans, Ponder chairs, and Sip tables and stools options, multiple communication hubs are formed and space becomes activated.

The Ponder lounge chair provides a catalyst to more formal arrangements. The comfortable, upholstered seat complements Visit’s soft aesthetic and ash wood legs. While a low-backed Ponder makes an ideal conference or meeting chair, its high-back option provides just enough privacy for one to recharge individually.

Two dynamic seating options are provided to transform Hangout and accommodate larger groups or support breakouts and individual work as needed. Plunk ottomans’ soft, gentle but unexpected saddle curves provide flexibility of both the mind and form. Made from ash wood, Sip stools add fresh whimsy with their pure and simple design.

“Because adopting an unfamiliar posture can help encourage a new perspective, we incorporated a variety or seating options. The various components allow for freedom in composition and configuration, while also providing a comfortable space for freedom in self-expression,” says Hangout’s Designer, Gernot Bohmann from EOOS.

Plunk and Sip provide dynamic seating options, transforming Hangout into an endless possible series of communication hubs, activated according to immediate needs.
