National Renewable Energy Laboratory
The Science and Technology Facility at NREL is a government research laboratory in Golden, Colo., just outside of Denver. The facility uses 38 percent less energy than an ASHRAE 90.1 energy code compliant building, and is expected to achieve LEED® Gold certification. The building incorporates variable air volume supply and exhaust systems for all laboratory and office areas, indirect/direct evaporative cooling, exhaust air energy recovery and process cooling waste water energy recovery, 10 percent daylighting in office areas, good daylighting in laboratories and lighting control throughout.

United States Mint / Denver
Since Congress created the United States Mint on April 2, 1792, it has grown tremendously receiving more than US$1 billion in annual revenues. Tours cover both the present state of coin manufacturing as well as the history of the Mint. Learn about the craftsmanship required at all stages of the minting process, from the original designs and sculptures to the actual striking of the coins.

Denver International Airport
Denver International Airport is the only major airport built in the United States in the last 25 years. The current facility can accommodate 50 million passengers a year without any additional construction. The terminal has approximately 1.5 million square feet (135,000 square meters) of public space, including a central atrium that is walled by glass and covered by a translucent tensile membrane roof.

Denver Museum of Nature & Science
Founded in 1900, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science traces its origins back more than a hundred years.
