LIVE Webinar Frequently Asked Questions

What is a webinar?

IFMA LIVE Webinars are web-based audio/visual presentations provided by experts in a wide spectrum of current facility management topics.


What kind of hardware and software is needed?

A computer with Internet access is needed for the audio and video portion of the presentation. If you prefer, a toll-free phone number is provided to access the audio portion by telephone.

System requirements for Live Meeting 2003 can be found at http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA100243841033.aspx.

If you have never attended a Live Meeting before, you will be prompted to download the meeting console. Allow the download to proceed and you will be connected to the meeting. If you have previously attended a Live Meeting on the same computer, you will not need to download the console again.

How much does it cost?

Our pricing is based on a "per-site" or "per-computer" price. This allows each site to host any number of guest attendees to participate in the webinar.

Per-Site Price

  • $99 – Members
  • $149 – Non-members

How do I register?

IFMA Members - Go directly through the IFMA Members-Only Section and login as usual. Select the Online Learning Center link. This link will take you directly to the Learning Center.

Nonmembers - Click here to request a guest login which will be activated within 24 hours.

Registration closes 24 hours prior to the start of the webinar. There are no exceptions. If you need assistance, please call 713-623-4362 or email webinars@ifma.org.


What if I need to cancel?

Full refunds will be granted for cancellations received in writing to IFMA no later than 5:00 p.m. CT three days prior to the start date of the LIVE Webinar. There is no cancellation fee. No refunds will be granted after this time. Refunds will not be given for no-shows.


How do I login to the website?

An email is sent to each site registrant within two weeks of the webinar. This email will include a link to the Online Learning Center login and a direct link to the meeting website. It is recommended that you test your access through one of the links when you receive the email and contact webinars@ifma.org immediately if you have problems. If you choose to access the audio portion by phone, the US/Canada and International dial in numbers and the Conference Code are also provided.

A reminder email is sent 1-2 days before the webinar that includes handouts and the CEU Participant Form.


What should I do if I have technical problems?

First, try to avoid technical problems by testing your system and login early.

If you have problems prior to the day of the webinar call 713-623-4362 or email webinars@ifma.org.

On the day of the webinar, please call 713-623-4362 to speak directly to a member of our support staff.


Will I receive CEUs or CFM/FMP Maintenance Points?

If you are the site registrant you will automatically receive CEUs and if eligible, you will qualify for CFM/FMP Maintenance Points when you recertify.

If you are a guest attendee please provide the appropriate information on the CEU Participation Form that is provided to each site registrant prior to the webinar. Attendees receive a Certificate of Attendance, CEUs are recorded and if eligible, you will qualify for CFM/FMP Maintenance Points when you recertify.

Will I get handouts and/or copies of the presentation?

Copies of the slide presentation in pdf format are sent by email to the site registrants 1-2 days before the webinar along with any additional handouts provided by the speaker.

It is also possible to print slides in pdf format during the presentation.


What can I do if I am registered, but something happens at the last minute that prevents me from attending?

We understand that sometimes our schedules are out of our control or that technology fails us. If you are unable to attend the LIVE Webinar due to schedule changes or technical difficulties, please send an email to webinars@ifma.org with that information. We will contact you to resolve the issue.
