IFMA's Senior Strategy Team

IFMA’s senior strategy team (SST) is composed of the staff officers of the association and the IFMA Foundation, led by the president and chief executive officer. The SST is responsible for conducting the business of the association and the IFMA Foundation and for implementing strategies to achieve the objectives defined in IFMA’s strategy map and balanced scorecard. The IFMA board of directors sets the strategic focus. The SST aligns staff, volunteers and other resources to achieve the desired outcomes.

Tony Keane, CAE
President and Chief Executive Officer

Tony Keane, CAE, is president and CEO of the Houston-based International Facility Management Association. A certified association executive with significant experience in the nonprofit sector, Keane served for over four years as executive director of NACE International, the professional association for corrosion engineers, also headquartered in Houston. At NACE, Keane led strategic initiatives to grow the organization from US$10.9 million to US$22 million in revenue, expanded membership from 15,000 to 21,500 and greatly increased the association’s international presence.

Prior to NACE, Keane served as chief operating officer of the Optical Society of America in Washington, D.C. Before that, Keane served as interim executive director and deputy executive director of the Construction Specifications Institute, also located in Alexandria, Va.

Keane’s past positions have provided him with a broad range of experience, from accounting to business management. In addition to NACE, OSA and CSI, he has served at the Institute of Industrial Engineers, The Software Factory, Trade Management, Keane Financial Services, NCR Corporation and Arthur Andersen & Co. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Cincinnati with a business degree in accounting and management.

He is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and on the board of directors for the Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives.




David J. Brady
Executive Advisor

David J. Brady has 24 years of experience in association management.  Brady joined the IFMA staff in 1993 as director of membership services and has also served as vice president of education and event management and vice president of administration and member resources.  Brady previously was executive vice president and chief operating officer before serving as IFMA president and CEO from 2002-2010. He was appointed to his current position in January 2010.

Prior to joining IFMA, Brady served for nine years in various capacities with the National Association of Credit Management in Columbia, Maryland.  He was the president of NACM affiliates in Grand Rapids, Michigan and in Houston, Texas.  He also was NACM’s national director of affiliate services. Brady entered the association management field from commercial banking in 1984.

Brady served as a member of the board of directors for the Society of American Military Engineers, and is currently on the board of directors for the Real Estate Information Sharing and Analysis Center, the Open Standards Consortium for Real Estate, the Global Facility Management Association based in Brussels, Belgium, as well as on the Executive Council of the Washington, D.C.–based Energy Efficiency Forum.  He is a member of the American Society of Association Executives and he holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Olivet College in Olivet, Michigan.


Linda Beverly, CAE
Vice President of Administration

Linda Beverly is the vice president of administration for the Houston-based International Facility Management Association (IFMA). She has 28 years of experience in association management. Beverly joined the IFMA staff in 1996 as chapter and council relations manager, and has also served as associate director of membership services, director of member resources and vice president of administration and member resources. She is currently responsible for administrative and accounting functions and is a member of the senior strategy team.

Prior to joining IFMA, Beverly was the credit reporting manager of NACM of South Texas, formerly known as the Houston Association of Credit Management, and also has an extensive background in administration.

Beverly is a Certified Association Executive who has been active in the Houston Society of Association Executives, Texas Society of Association Executives and the American Society of Association Executives since 1978. She attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College and Oklahoma Baptist University.




Donald A. Young, CAE, APR
Vice President of Communications

Don Young, CAE, APR, is vice president of communications at the Houston-based International Facility Management Association (IFMA), where he has headed the communications function since 1989. Young is responsible for public relations, speech writing, social media, Facility Management Journal, annual reports, dashboard updates and special projects. He also jointly produces IFMA’s strategic planning documents and works closely with government relations and marketing. Previously, Young also was responsible for IFMA's international development.

Prior to joining IFMA, he was a public relations and business development consultant, including three years with Ogilvy & Mather and two years with regional firms. Clients included major U.S. and foreign corporations, associations, trade organizations and the Japan External Trade Organization. Young began his career on the 1980 presidential campaign, then as an assistant to Ron Paul, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Kalamazoo College, Kalamazoo, Mich. and did his foreign study at the Université de Caen in Normandy, France. Young also holds a master’s degree in speech/communications, public relations management studies, from the University of Houston, University Park, Texas. Young is a Certified Association Executive through the American Society of Association Executives and is Accredited in Public Relations through the Public Relations Society of America.




Catherine Pavick
Vice President of Education

Cathy Pavick is the vice president of education for the Houston-based International Facility Management Association (IFMA). She has 14 years of association management experience and joined IFMA in 2008 as the director of education.

Pavick is responsible for the global expansion of IFMA’s educational programs and credential offerings and also plays a significant role in implementing IFMA’s strategic plan. She works directly with facility management professionals, IFMA Foundation Accredited Degree Programs, IFMA members and stakeholders, academic institutions, and students.

Prior to joining IFMA, Pavick served as executive director of the Michigan Licensed Beverage Association, where she established business partnerships with major Fortune 500 companies and worked closely with federal and state legislators and regulatory agencies.

Pavick has a strong background in education and association management. She holds a master’s degree in educational administration from Michigan State University and a bachelor’s degree in business management from Waynesburg University in Pennsylvania .
