David J. Brady
President and Chief Executive Officer
International Facility Management Association
David J. Brady is President and CEO of the Houston-based
International Facility Management Association (IFMA).
He has 22 years of experience in association management.
Brady previously served as Executive Vice President
and Chief Operating Officer. He joined the staff in
1993 as Director of Membership Services, and has also
held the positions of Vice President of Education and
Event Management, and Vice President of Administration
and Member Resources.
Prior to joining IFMA, Brady served for nine years
in various capacities with the National Association
of Credit Management in Columbia, Md. He was the President
of NACM affiliates in Grand Rapids, Mich. and in Houston,
Texas. He also was NACM’s national Director of
Affiliate Services. Brady entered the association management
field from banking.
Brady is a member of the American Society of Association
Executives and he holds a bachelor’s degree in
business administration from Olivet College in Olivet,
Mich.
R. Alan Thomas, CAE
Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
International Facility Management Association
R. Alan Thomas, CAE is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Houston-based International Facility Management Association (IFMA). His association management experience includes five years as the Vice President – Business Development with the Safety Council – Louisiana Capitol area. Immediately prior to joining the IFMA staff, Thomas was Director, Business Strategy and Development, at ProSys Inc. in Baton Rouge, a process-systems consulting firm serving the refining and chemical industries.
Thomas joined the staff in 2006. His responsibilities include managing professional development, allied services, event management, research, corporate development and member resources functional areas within the organization. Thomas also oversees the Senior Management Team of the Association and is a member of the Senior Strategy Team.
Thomas holds a bachelor’s degree in Christian education from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He previously served on the Board of Directors of the Louisiana Society of Association Executives, the Louisiana Chemical Association Governmental Affairs Committee, and on the Board of Directors of the Baton Rouge Area Drug and Alcohol Center.
Linda Beverly, CAE
Vice President of Administration
International Facility Management Association
Linda Beverly is the Vice President of Administration for the Houston-based International Facility Management Association (IFMA). She has 28 years of experience in association management. Beverly joined the IFMA staff in 1996 as Chapter and Council Relations Manager, and has also served as Associate Director of Membership Services, Director of Member Resources and Vice President of Administration and Member Resources. She is currently responsible for administrative and accounting functions and is a member of the Senior Strategy Team.
Prior to joining IFMA, Beverly was the credit reporting manager of NACM of South Texas, formerly known as the Houston Association of Credit Management, and also has an extensive background in administration.
Beverly is a Certified Association Executive who has been active in the Houston Society of Association Executives, Texas Society of Association Executives and the American Society of Association Executives since 1978. She attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College and Oklahoma Baptist University.
Donald A. Young, APR
Vice President - Communications
International Facility Management Association
Don Young, APR, is Vice President of Communications
at the Houston-based International Facility Management
Association (IFMA), where he has headed the communications
function since 1989. Young is responsible for strategic
planning, public relations, publications, government
affairs and the Web site. Previously, he also was responsible for IFMA's international development.
Prior to joining IFMA, he was a public relations consultant,
including three years with Ogilvy & Mather and two
years with regional firms. Clients included major U.S.
and foreign corporations, associations, trade organizations
and the Japan External Trade Organization. Young began
his career as an assistant to Ron Paul, a member of
the U.S. House of Representatives.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science
from Kalamazoo College, Kalamazoo, Mich. and did his
foreign study at the Université de Caen in Normandy,
France. Young also holds a master’s degree in
speech/communications, public relations management studies,
from the University of Houston, University Park, Texas.
